Skate Parks

As the name suggests, skateparks are very different from BMX tracks but many welcome BMX bikes for freestyle riding. Most skateparks can be ridden by skateboards, inline skates, scooters and BMX bikes but many have set times for each discipline. Always check ahead to see if the park is open for BMXs.

Skateparks can be made of concrete, wood or metal and will often be found in public parks. You’ll tend to find that concrete and wooden parks are most popular for BMX freestylers. There are many different formats of Skateparks with different features; half-pipes, quarter pipes, spine transfers, handrails, fun boxes, vert ramps, pyramids, banked ramps, full pipes, pools, bowls, snake runs stair sets and many others.
