Raleigh M-Trax 1000 S 19″ Rigid Purple Frame & Stem

Rare old framset, it is around a 1985/86 model and has a lugged design with Reynolds K2 Cr-Mo Tubing and also includes the matching M-Trax Cro-Mo Stem

  ‘Reynolds K2’ then appeared during the early 90s to replace 501 in some mid range steel Raleigh mountain bike frames. K2 tubing was used in lugged and brazed steel frames from the Raleigh and M Trax ranges from 1992 or 1993 to 1995. K2  is rumoured to be similar to 501, but with a twist.

USED:  Signs of wear, many superficial scratches some large, and chips in the paint. The Purple paint has held up well and is in good condition, the main down-tube, and top-tube has suffered many chips where lacquer has peeled there are patches of corrosion.

The frame has been striped of seized parts and had a stick seatpost removed ready for repainting & rebuilding.
